GROUND HORNBILL
We saw about three of these magnificent birds in the Chobe National Park, Botswana in 1996.  They were walking along beside the Chobe river in the early morning.  The colours were fabulous.

HIPPO
This photo was taken in 1994 on the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park,  Uganda.  We were doing an afternoon trip to see the wonderful birds, buffalo, hippos etc in this region.

LION  at  Lake  Kariba
I  took this photo in 2000 near the Bumi Hill's airstrip, Zimbabwe in the afternoon.  The Lion was very relaxed while we viewed her.

GOLDEN ORB SPIDER
We visited the Matusadona National Park Northern Zimbabwe in 2000.   We came by boat from Kipling's to see the Rhinos.  I couldn't resist the wonderful colours of the spider.

ZEBRA
I was very lucky to have this Zebra close to the car we were driving in at Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe in 1998.  They were just crossing the road and turned to look at us.  I have never been able to get so close before.

PAINTED HUNTING DOG
We saw a wonderful pack of the Painted Hunting dogs near Xudum Camp, Botswana in 2000.  We followed them for awhile before the floods of the Okavango Delta defeated us, much to the delight of the dogs who kept going on their hunt!!

SUNSET  at Lake Kariba
We were on a sunset drive to view animals and we had stopped to have a sundowner at the edge of Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe to witness the setting of the sun - beautiful light.  2000

ELEPHANT
One of my many photos of Elephants I have taken close up and I was thrilled with the light on the elephants face.   2000

RHINO
One of the Rhinos we saw in Zimbabwe in 2000, early in the morning,  worth the early morning call!!

SABLE
Once again we were lucky to be close to this sable to catch it's wonderful side view.  2000 at Imire in Zimbabwe.

ELEPHANTS
A lucky photo again as we were on a sunset cruise from Katete in a small boat to view animals as they came down to drink at the edge on Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe.   It is always special to view a mother & calf.  2000

HYAENA
I took this photo at Imire Safari Game Lodge in Zimbabwe in 2000.   Once again a lucky shot as they are very shy with people and move very quickly.
