AWARDS: Highly Commended at the 2003 Wildlife Art Society of Australasia Annual Exhibition in Melbourne. Set in a maze of wrinkles, the small and almost insignificant eye of this mammoth animal conveys an aura of wisdom gathered over a long lifetime of experience. The drawing depicts the matriarchal gaze of the mother over the exuberance of youth.
