The drawing won the ‘Packing Room Award’ at Australian Art Excellence Award Exhibitions AGRA Gallery, Camberwell. Also the ‘Fauna Award’ at the Rotary Easter Art Show held in Deniliquin over 2016 Easter weekend.

We observed koalas on a visit to Port Macquarie at the Billabong Zoo. This detailed drawing shows Chris’s skill at capturing fine details of an animal that you almost think it is alive. Chris does observe wild animals so he can capture them doing natural things rather than sitting looking pretty.
